Application Example: Constraint-Guided Design of a Transparent, Flexible Electrothermal Film Using Structural Functional Layers (SFL)
Authors/Creators
Description
This application example demonstrates the constraint-guided design of a transparent, flexible electrothermal film using the Structural Functional Layers (SFL) framework.
Functional conflicts between electrical conductivity, optical transparency, mechanical flexibility, and environmental protection are identified at the architectural level and resolved through explicit functional decoupling.
The resulting layer architecture is defined independently of specific materials, with each layer carrying a single dominant functional role. Material choices are treated as interchangeable role carriers and are provided for illustrative purposes only.
The example illustrates how SFL-based system design enables conflict-robust, modular, and material-agnostic multilayer architectures applicable to wearable electronics and related domains.
