Model equivalents from a global ocean forecasting system at eddy-resolving resolution (GOFS16)

The dataset contains the model equivalents from the global ocean forecasting system at eddy-resolving resolution, GOFS16, between January 2022 and December 2023. For each position in space and time of observations, the dataset provides model values for best estimate, nowcast and forecast up to 5 days. 

Observations for temperature, salinity, sea surface temperature and sea level anomalies are provided within the GODAE/OceanPredict framework https://hpfx.collab.science.gc.ca/~sdfo500/GODAE_Class4/. Model equivalents are gathered in daily NetCDF files.

Ocean currents refer to estimates from NOAA Global Drifter Program (GDP) 6-hourly interpolated dataset, freely available from https://www.aoml.noaa.gov/phod/gdp/index.php. GOFS16 model equivalents are included in one single csv file.
