The Origin-Level Causal Field: A Foundational Coherence Calibration Stratum
Authors/Creators
Description
The Origin-Level Causal Field is defined as a foundational, pre-disciplinary field of reference in which clean, calibrated coherence with reality functions as the governing causal authority. It constitutes a foundational coherence calibration stratum: the reference field within which cognition and conceptualisation can occur accurately, and outside of which they become structurally misaligned while often retaining internal coherence.
This field operates at origin level, prior to premise, paradigm, narrative, interpretation, abstraction, or representational mediation. It identifies the causal conditions under which conceptualisation functions correctly or fails, treating conceptualisation as a process whose accuracy is entirely dependent on the governing reference field from which it is performed. Conceptualisation only functions correctly when the governing reference field is correctly calibrated.
The Origin-Level Causal Field does not analyse content within existing fields, domains, or disciplines, nor relationships between conceptual frameworks. It exists outside the inherited field stack and is not interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, meta-theoretical, or ontological in nature. Instead, it establishes the reality-aligned structural conditions prior to abstraction that determine whether downstream cognitive, conceptual, institutional, and systemic processes remain reality-referenced or become abstraction-governed.
This field corresponds to the original human alignment field that existed prior to The Operating Orientation Substitution: A Species-Scale Governing Reference Misattribution Error, which replaced reality-referenced orientation with a misaligned governing reference. That premature substitution introduced persistent reference distortion into human cognition, governance, and civilisation-scale systems.
As a calibration stratum, the Origin-Level Causal Field restores this clean reference condition, enabling the identification of origin-level alignment or failure, including conditions under which abstraction-governed systems lose causal contact with reality while retaining apparent coherence. It performs a recalibration of the reference point from which cognition and conceptualisation occur at all, thereby re-establishing the conditions under which thinking can stop unintentionally misleading itself.
This record defines the field itself and its causal position only. It does not disclose prescriptive architectures, operational mechanisms, evidentiary proofs, or application pathways.
