Local Sea-Level Rise (LSLR) projections data
Authors/Creators
Description
This repository contains 10,000 local sea-level rise (LSLR) projections for 12,148 coastal segments for the period 2010–2300. The projections are normalized relative to year 2000 levels and are provided at 10-year time interval. These datasets serve as the primary uncertainty input to the Coastal Impact and Adaptation model (MimiCIAM) and are used to evaluate adaptation strategies under deep uncertainty.
The repository includes LSLR projections for four Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, RCP6.0, and RCP8.5). For each scenario, 10,000 projection samples of segment-level LSLR trajectories are provided across all 12,148 coastal segments over the full modeling horizon. The data are distributed in compressed Zarr format (.zarr.zip), enabling efficient chunked storage and high-performance ensemble simulations in Julia.
These datasets are directly integrated into the MimiCIAMRegret modeling framework. When executing the model, the corresponding .zarr.zip file is automatically downloaded locally to ensure reproducibility and proper access to the sea-level rise scenarios.
