StandICT.eu 2026 Open Call 9 Impact Report

Description

The purpose StandICT.eu 2026 is to fund European experts working to support the evolution of international and European standardisation activities and accelerate the EU's amibitious ICT agenda. This open call was running from May 28th until June 27th, 2025. It received a record number of 120 applications, of which 42 were selected for funding, with an overall 313 391€ granted.

The primary purpose of this document is to share the results attained through the work carried out by the 42 funded experts and to showcase the most relevant outcomes, creating awareness of the potential impact and repercussions of such effects on commerce, industry, governmental policies and strategies and society.

The StandICT.eu Open Calls target European ICT standardisation experts who contribute to international SDOs, work groups, and/or technical committees on any of the priority topics outlined in the Rolling Plan for ICT Standardisation.  Due to their current strategic importance at the EU level,  applications focusing on the issues of Virtual Worlds and Digital Product Passport are highly encouraged.
