A Holistic Model of Lifespan Music Education and Assistive Therapy: Integrating Harp/Piano Pedagogy, Neuropsychological Mechanisms, and Instrumental Innovation

  • 1. HopeHarp Research Center / Independent Researcher

Description

Abstract:

This comprehensive study establishes a holistic framework for music education and assistive therapy across the human lifespan, synthesizing thirty years of clinical teaching and pedagogical research. The research investigates the synergistic relationship between instrumental mastery (specifically piano and harp) and psychological well-being at different developmental stages: cognitive foundation in early childhood, emotional regulation and resilience in adolescents and women, and neurocognitive maintenance in the elderly.

A significant focus is placed on the "Neuro-Harp Synergy", where the specific tactile-kinesthetic demands of harp plucking are analyzed for their impact on fine motor skill rehabilitation and neural plasticity. Furthermore, the paper incorporates the author's patented innovations in string instrument structures, discussing how mechanical portability and acoustic optimization facilitate the accessibility of music therapy in clinical and community settings. This research bridges the gap between traditional music pedagogy and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, providing a scalable model for total-person care in the digital age.

This work supplements and further elaborates the conceptual dimensions proposed in the primary theoretical framework.
