ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN URBAN WASTE AND MACROECONOMIC SYMPTOMS WITH PANEL DATA ANALYSIS: EXAMPLE OF OECD COUNTRIES

Urban waste sparked by industrialization, urbanization, population growth and economic developments, together with increasing consumption trend, it grows day by day causing environmental problems. Urban waste we've met many times in our daily lives including in offices and gardens outside of waste such as food, packaging, clothes, furniture covers all household waste. Urban waste, which has become one of the most important environmental problems of almost every country today, it plays an important role for a sustainable life. Urban waste amounts are one of the most effective elements for a clean environment in global economies that can be moved to the level of development of countries and future generations.

Purpose of the study is to examine the effects of macroeconomic determinants in countries on urban waste amounts. The study found that the average amount of urban waste per capita belonging to OECD countries for the period 1995-2017, gross domestic product per capita, population, humanitarian development index and annual economic growth rate data; the relationship between urban waste amounts and macroeconomic determinants is estimated using panel data analysis methods.
