Part 1 of this report summarizes climate, outdoor comfort and energy modelling methods/outcomes for the Climate Atlas Burleigh St. James case study site. To assess the possible impacts of the changing climate, three scenarios based on current, rcp8.5 2050 and 2070 predicted climate data were modelled for the same urban form and fabric. The following sections describe the initial analysis of current/predicted climate data (Sect.1), the methods and assumptions used in the simulation (Sect. 2), provide an overview of the simulation results for 2025, 2-50 and 2070 for PET, cooling loads and associated form factor and gross internal area metrics (Sec.3), and applicability and limitations of this method (Sect. 4).
