DMRs cluster and align with the boundaries marked by H3K36me3

Authors/Creators

Description

We first calculated the distances between DMRs, fitted a regression curve, and found DMRs clustering (DMR_Distance_Analysis.r). Based on this, using the 'Cumulative Slope' and 'Decay Ratio', we set ~20 kb as the threshold for identifying DMR clusters. With this threshold, we categorized DMRs into three classes according to their inter-distance: isolated DMRs, clustered DMRs, and tightly adjacent DMRs (Classification_For_HypoDMR.r). Finally, we associated the regions formed by DMR clusters (DMR-cluster Regions) with histone modifications. Specifically, we calculated the distance between the boundaries of DMR-cluster regions and the boundaries of histone modifications (Distance2Histone_Boundary.r), and found that their boundaries were aligned.
