Description

This report describes initial satellite validation work using the optical and biochemical datasets
collected during the TARA EUROPA 2023 voyage as part of the ESA HyperBOOST project. The matchup processor (González Vilas, 2024a, González Vilas, 2024b) was initially developed to validate
remote-sensing reflectance (Rrs) using fixed platform above-water radiometry within the H2020
HYPERNETS project and the CMEMS OCTAC activities. In HyperBOOST, development work has been
done that enables the processor to ingest underway (transect) data, as well as extend the validation
variables to include total chlorophyll-a (chl) and suspended particulate matter (SPM) concentrations.
