Theory of Persistence Full Suite

Description

Physics has pursued the Theory of Everything—unifying forces, identifying particles, finding the equation for what reality is made of. This paper proposes physics has asked the wrong question. The deeper question is not "What is everything made of?" but "How does structure keep existing at all?"

The Theory of Persistence addresses this foundational question through five empirically-grounded laws:

Law of the Viscous Medium: Space is structured filtering environment with bulk viscosity (Anchor: Sticky Space)

Law of the Processing Engine: Time is three-part metabolic architecture—future, present, past—converting potential to record (Anchor: Time Doesn't Flow, It Crystallizes)

Law of Harmonic Selection: Non-resonant patterns experience preferential damping; φ survives via maximal irrationality (Anchor: The φ Filter)

Law of Geometric Crystallization: Reality metabolizes potential into structure; 8.9% φ-distance represents crystallization threshold (Anchor: Theory of Existing)

Law of Scale Invariance: The process operates identically from nuclear to cosmic scales (Anchor: Everything Sings)

These laws are anchored by analysis of 68 gravitational wave events showing φ-convergence (system average 1.60) at p < 0.001, with crystallization from 10.9% to 8.9% φ-distance during merger evolution.

The framework unifies nuclear physics (magic numbers), acoustics (consonant ratios), gravitational wave astronomy (φ-organization), and galactic dynamics as instances of a single principle: filtering media produce stability attractors.

The Theory of Persistence does not replace quantum mechanics, general relativity, or the Standard Model. It answers the question they presuppose: Why does anything persist at all?

The answer: Reality is a verb, not a noun.
