v1.0.0 — Code for "International Trade in Air-Quality-Related Mortality"
Authors/Creators
Description
This release captures the exact version of the code used to produce all results in the manuscript "International (Fair) Trade in Air-Quality-Related Mortality."
It includes the full Python workflow for estimating production- and consumption-based PM₂.₅ concentrations, health impacts, and economic externalities associated with international trade, based on multi-regional input–output (MRIO) data (GTAP and EORA) and InMAP simulations.
Included components
1_Country_Emission: Prepare inputs and generate emission maps for InMAP.
2_Concentration_Factors: Derive consumption-based concentration fields.
3_Mortality: Estimate PM₂.₅-related mortality attributable to production and consumption.
4_Result_Interpretation: Analyze economic externalities and distributional inequalities.
5_Plot_generation: Generate all figures for the main text and supplementary.
6_Model_assessment: Perform model validation and uncertainty analysis.
Running this release will reproduce the analytical results and figures presented in the manuscript.
