Legal Open euRopean wEb iNdex (LOREN) - Project activities and outcomes

The research analysed the legal constraints and requirements of crawling, storing, aggregating, enriching, and sharing web data in operational terms in an Open Web Index (OWI) (see https://OpenWebIndex.eu). The research focuses on the legal aspects of building and operating an OWI, including data protection, copyright, and intellectual property rights. The project therefore provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal constraints and requirements for building and operating an OWI and tries to offer actionable advice.
