Description

This framework for Regenerative Tourism was developed through the EISMEA COSME Single Market Programme co-funded CE4RT (Circular Economy for Regenerative Tourism) project. The five themes of Championing Local Places (nature, culture and heritage), Benefitting the Local Community, Tackling Climate Action, Empowering Visitors and Long Term Sustainability/Profitability were selected to help businesses within the programme to identify where their strengths and weaknesses were in adopting a regenerative approach to tourism.

The current version of this framework has been adapted by researchers at Munster Technological University.

A complete self-assessment tool based on these 5 themes was used by participating CE4RT businesses and is available at https://ce4rt.euproject.site/digital-toolkit/ as part of the digital toolkit. This provides more guidance for tourism stakeholders under each of the 5 themes.
