ECONOMIC GROWTH AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN UZBEKISTAN: ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT ON INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FLOWS

In the context of globalization, economic growth processes are causing profound structural changes in the tourism industry. This article systematically analyzes the interaction between key indicators of economic growth in Uzbekistan and the flow of foreign tourists. The study compares statistical data on the dynamics of foreign tourist numbers, the expansion of tourism infrastructure, investment flows, regional development processes, and service quality for 2016-2024. It also scientifically evaluates the impact of economic growth on tourism demand, the additional impetus of public policy and reforms in the sector, and recovery trends during and after the pandemic. The study's results serve as the basis for developing practical proposals aimed at increasing the flow of foreign tourists, increasing the share of export-oriented services, and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
