Diaconi e sinodo. Un percorso tra i documenti del processo sinodale 2021-2024

L’articolo passa in rassegna i documenti pubblicati durante il processo sinodale 2021-2024 («Per una Chiesa sinodale. Comunione, partecipazione, missione»), esaminando la progressiva emergenza del tema del diaconato. L’indagine mostra la perdurante incertezza delle Chiese intorno a questo grado del sacramento dell’ordine, re-istituito come permanente solo dal Concilio Vaticano II, incertezza accresciuta dal dibattito intorno al diaconato femminile. Ciononostante, si apprezzano nei testi alcuni segnali di sviluppo, in particolare per quanto riguarda il legame tra diaconi e carità, l’inquadramento del ministero diaconale in un’ecclesiologia interessata a coordinare tra loro diverse forme di ministerialità, l’attenzione alle pratiche ecclesiali e alla pluralità di realizzazioni che esse testimoniano.
Abstract (English)
The article reviews the documents published during the 2021-2024 synodal process («For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, Mission»), examining the gradual emergence of the theme of the diaconate. The survey shows the continuing uncertainty of the Churches around this degree of the sacrament of Holy Orders, re-established as permanent only by the Second Vatican Council, uncertainty heightened by the debate around the female diaconate. Nevertheless, some signs of development can be appreciated in the texts, particularly with regard to the link between deacons and charity, the framing of the diaconal ministry within an ecclesiology interested in coordinating different forms of ministry, and the attention to ecclesial practices and the plurality of realisations to which they bear witness.
