Inflorescence usually with paired flowers borne in axils of upper 2–3 nodes, or arranged in axillary false racemes of approximately 10 flowers; bracts leaf-like, gradually reduced upward or lanceolate; bracteoles paired, small, subulate or lanceolate.Pedicels 2.5–4 mm, pubescent.Calyx narrowly tubular, 1–1.4 cm long, externally sparsely pubescent, glabrous within; calyx bilabiate, 5-lobed; upper lip 3-lobed, lower lip 2-lobed, upper lip slightly longer than lower; calyx lobes lanceolate, 3–5 mm, margin ciliate, apex acuminate. Corolla white with faint purple tinge on limb, 2.4–3.7 cm long; externally sparsely pubescent, glabrous within; tube straight, tubular, gradually expanded in upper half; limb bilabiate; upper lip erect, shallowly 2-lobed; lower lip 3-lobed, median lobe suboblong, often notched in the middle, lateral lobes oblong, ca. half as long as median lobe.Stamens 4, 4–10 mm long, included; The posterior pair of stamens are inserted at the corolla throat, while the anterior pair are inserted midway down the corolla tube; filaments slightly flattened, glabrous; anthers dithecal, becoming confluent at maturity. Ovary 4-parted, densely short-pubescent. Style slender, included, apex bifid. Disk annular, lobes inconspicuous. Flowering June to July, fruiting July to August.

Phenology: Flowering June to July, fruiting July to August.
