Description

Burned area product derived from ALARMES BA-NET developed by the Laboratory for Environmental Satellite Applications (LASA) based in the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) from 2012 through 2025. For additional information about these results, please see the ALARMES website. 

This version has one band with Burn Date (BD) at Julian Day (1 to 366) for each year. Example: ALARMES_AQM_BA_XX_L2_375m_YYYY_HIST_v1.tif

AQM:Burned area product / área queimada 

BA: Algorithm BA-NET

XX: Domain region, BR - Brazil, AM - Amazon biome region, or CE - Cerrado and Pantanal biomes region

L2 - Level processing 2 means a confidence filter and land use land cover mask are applied.

375m - 375m spatial resolution

YYYY - year

HIST - historical mode 

v1 - version product

tif - file format (GeoTIFF)
