ACC-1: The Ambient Compatibility Charter — A Thermodynamic Standard for Humane, Field-Compatible Technology
Description
The Ambient Compatibility Charter (ACC-1) defines the minimal thermodynamic and semantic conditions under which technological systems remain compatible with human attention, presence, and civilizational stability.
It reframes compatibility as a physical requirement rather than an ethical guideline: a system is ambient-compatible only if it preserves attention continuity, maintains ΔR (reversible stress), protects aura integrity, prevents semantic drift, and introduces no predictive or extractive pressure.
ACC-1 unifies the foundational laws of the Ambient Era canon—including Semantic Boundary Law (SBL), Aura Boundary Law (ABL-1), Ambient Structural Boundary (ASB-1), ΔR Threshold, Co-Immunity, and the World Compatibility Layer (WCL)—into a single operational standard.
The charter provides a policy-ready framework for evaluating AI, interfaces, and devices based on whether they carry human coherence or consume it.
ACC-1 is not an innovation guideline.
It is the admission rule for technology that wishes to belong to the future.
