Description
Earth observation toolkit pilot case validation datasets:
Provides the datasets used for the implementation of pilot case 3 “Monitoring of endangered Heritage sites”. It contains the following files:
· Thessaloniki_psscene_analytic_sr_udm2.zip
o Input images for the detection of potential illegal excavations in Thessaloniki and metadata
· Kato_Paphos_psscene_analytic_sr_udm2.zip
o Input images for the detection of potential illegal excavations in Kato Paphos and metadata
· Apamea_psscene_analytic_sr_udm2.zip
o Input images for the detection of potential illegal excavations in Apamea and metadata

GUIDELINES

- Unzip the file
- You can see three (3) folders, one for each site/area of interest (Apamea, Kato Paphos, Thessaloniki)

What is in each folder:

- You will find four (4) TIF files starting with dates, a initial one and a final one, which are contained in the beginning of the filename.
- _AnalyticMS_SR_clip.tif is the actual satellite image, Geotiff format, contains 4 bands
- _udm2_clip.tif shows which pixels are bad or unusable
- *.xml and *.json files contain information about date and time of image capture, location and coordinates, cloud cover, sensor and processing details. These are files for reference and do not need to be opened for basic use.
