Description
These datasets contain cropped images of plankton extracted from processed holograms. Raw images were recorded in April 2024 in the Baltic Sea using the AUTOHOLO, a submersible digital holographic imaging system.
The image resolution is 2.14 microns per pixel, and data were recorded at approximately 0.7-1 Hz.
The datasets are unlabeled and were collected from different stations, where the instrument was vertically profiled through the water column.
Each folder includes a .csv file with metadata, containing date, start time (local), location (coordinates), and depth. All listed times are local, i.e., Eastern European Standard Time (EEST, 24-hour clock).
Additional details of the imaging instrument (AUTOHOLO) and the holographic methodology can be found here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.hal.2023.102401
