IMPACTOS DA VIOLÊNCIA FEMINICIDA NA SAÚDE MENTAL DE PROSTITUTAS

Resumo: Sabe-se que a violência feminicida ocorre quando uma mulher é vítima de uma tentativa de feminicídio por razões de gênero, ou seja, apenas por ser mulher. Nesse sentido, é possível afirmar que mulheres prostitutas acabam sendo alvos vulneráveis da violência feminicida por serem consideradas, historicamente, como símbolo da promiscuidade e imorais. Tais estigmas causam isolamento e exclusão dessas mulheres na sociedade; essas situações de violência e preconceito podem ser a causa de sérios danos à saúde mental das prostitutas. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa qualitativa tem como objetivo entender como a violência feminicida impacta na saúde mental das prostitutas. A investigação será feita através de um estudo de caso único, com a participação de uma prostituta que será localizada em um prostíbulo da cidade de Catalão-GO. O critério utilizado para a escolha será ter sofrido uma tentativa de feminicídio. A análise dos dados será feita a luz das teorias feministas e da teoria Histórico-cultural. Através dessa investigação será possível entender as dinâmicas que desencadearam essa tentativa, bem como os efeitos que o trauma possa ter provocado na saúde mental da mulher prostituta.

Resumen ou Abstract: It is known that feminicidal violence occurs when a woman is the victim of an attempted femicide due to gender-based reasons, that is, simply for being a woman. In this sense, it is possible to state that sex workers often become vulnerable targets of feminicidal violence, as they have historically been regarded as symbols of promiscuity and immorality. Such stigmas lead to the isolation and exclusion of these women from society; these situations of violence and prejudice can cause serious damage to the mental health of sex workers. Therefore, this qualitative research aims to understand how feminicidal violence impacts the mental health of sex workers. The investigation will be conducted through a single case study, involving a sex worker located in a brothel in the city of Catalão-GO. The criterion for selection will be having survived an attempted femicide. Data analysis will be guided by feminist theories and the Historical-Cultural theory. Through this investigation, it will be possible to understand the dynamics that triggered the attempted femicide, as well as the effects the trauma may have had on the mental health of the sex worker.
