Description
The present study focuses on the role of zoology in sustainable wildlife management and biodiversity conservation. Zoology helps in understanding animal behaviour, population dynamics, habitat requirements, and ecological relationships, which are essential for effective wildlife management. The study is descriptive and analytical in nature and is based on secondary sources such as standard zoology books, research journals, government reports, and publications of wildlife organizations. The study highlights how zoological science supports wildlife conservation, protection of endangered species, population assessment, habitat management, and human–wildlife conflict mitigation. It also explains the importance of zoological principles in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring long-term sustainability of wildlife resources. The study concludes that scientific knowledge from zoology is necessary for planning, implementing, and improving wildlife management strategies and for achieving sustainable conservation of biodiversity for present and future generations.
