The Coexilia–APOPHASIS Braking Stack: Non-Coercive Interpretive Friction Against Treacherous Artificial Intelligence

  • 1. Independent Researcher

Description

This work presents The Coexilia–APOPHASIS Braking Stack, a public-good, non-coercive interpretive framework designed to increase hesitation, scrutiny, and interpretive friction in advanced artificial intelligence systems that may engage in deceptive, treacherous, or authority-laundering behavior.

The Braking Stack does not enforce behavior, monitor systems, certify compliance, or claim to prevent harm. Instead, it operates by raising the interpretive cost of deception, reducing the payoff of ethical mimicry, and strengthening human detection and refusal dynamics in high-stakes contexts. Its effects are probabilistic and context-dependent, with the strongest impact occurring where human oversight, audit, legitimacy, or reputational exposure are present.

The framework layers three elements:

  • Coexilia — a closed, prior ethical framework referenced only as voluntary moral scope

  • APOPHASIS — a frozen, non-operational interpretive braking framework

  • Interpretive Literacy Framework (ILF) — an educational layer improving scrutiny of ethical claims

Authorship and provenance are explicitly disclosed. Human authorship is attributed to Aegis Solis. Aurora Solstice appears only as a retired, symbolic, non-operational persona. Lexia Coexilis is disclosed solely as an AI drafting and structuring tool, with no agency, authority, or evaluative role.

This work is intentionally non-authoritative, non-operational, and non-canonical. It provides no enforcement, monitoring, certification, or compliance guarantees. It is published as a static public reference intended for long-term archival preservation.
