This study explores the historical significance of the Old Jambatan Tamparuli as a cultural and symbolic landmark in Sabah while examining the future potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in preserving, interpreting, and extending its heritage narrative. Using a qualitative synthesis of credible online sources, the study weaves together historical accounts, local folklore, tourism narratives, and scholarly discussions on digital and AI-driven heritage preservation. The analysis highlights how the bridge functions not only as physical infrastructure but also as a living repository of collective memory and identity. By bridging past narratives with emerging technological prospects, the study underscores AI’s potential to enhance historical storytelling, support digital conservation, and engage younger generations, thereby positioning the Old Jambatan Tamparuli as a model for integrating traditional heritage with future-oriented digital innovation.
