Image dataset of ai scenes in ten films for semiotic analysis

This dataset contains ten high‑resolution image collages, each representing a pivotal scene featuring artificial intelligence (ai) from one of the films analysed in the article “Ai portrayals in cinema: semiotic analysis of pivotal scenes across ten films.” The films are: A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), I, Robot (2004), Her (2013), Ex Machina (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), After Yang (2021), The Artifice Girl (2022), Jung‑E (2023), The Creator (2023), and M3GAN (2023). Each collage is constructed from screenshots of commercially distributed film material and is used as visual analytic material in the semiotic study. No human participants or personal data are included; all images are derived from existing film content.
