D4.2: Tools and technologies for Procedural Knowledge Management, first release
Description
This document represents the demonstrator deliverable D4.2, “Tools and technologies for Procedural Knowledge management, first release”. It describes the first software release by WP4 and reports updates for tasks 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. As a demonstration deliverable, this document provides a summary of the implemented solutions and their deployment, rather than an extensive technical report.
The deliverable provides an update of the PERKS architecture described in D4.1. It discusses the methodology followed for its refinement, considering the development of the PERKS solutions, which are described in the respective deliverables D3.1, D5.1 and this document as well. D4.2 reports on the first release of the three main outcomes related to the Procedural Knowledge Management of the PERKS project:
• Procedural Knowledge Ontology (PKO): the reference model for the PKMS, guaranteeing interoperability through common semantics among PERKS solutions;
• The Procedural Knowledge Management System (PKMS) component, identified as Solution 5, and responsible for the management of the knowledge graph and the provision of a data product for procedural knowlege;
• The Procedural Knowledge Auditing component, identified as Solution 4, and responsible for the collection and investigation of auditing traces about procedure extraction and procedure execution.
For each item, the deliverable describes the functional requirements in terms of features, the designed and implemented components and how they interact with other PERKS solutions. The components will be tested within each use case during the first validation phase of WP2 and subsequently updated to incorporate the received feedback. The second and final release of the WP4 tools will be described in deliverable D4.3.
