A REVIEW OF GLOBAL AND LOCAL RESEARCH ON DEVELOPING EFL SPEAKING SKILLS: WHERE DOES PROJECT-BASED LEARNING FIT ?
Authors/Creators
Description
Despite sustained exposure to English instruction, many EFL learners have demonstrated limited progress in spoken communication. Speaking performance is frequently characterized by hesitation, reduced confidence, and avoidance of oral communication tasks . These outcomes suggest that conventional instructional practices may not provide sufficient conditions for developing communicative competence ,
prompting the exploration of alternative pedagogical approaches to better support learners’ oral development.
