Authors/Creators
Description
This study aims to analyze the effect of Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) and Earnings per Share (EPS) on stock returns in companies listed on the LQ45 index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research sample consisted of 15 LQ45 companies selected using purposive sampling techniques with a total of 75 observations. The data used were secondary data obtained from the companies' annual financial reports, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and Yahoo Finance. Data analysis techniques used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results show that, partially, Earnings per Share (EPS) has a positive and significant effect on stock returns, while the Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, PER and EPS have a significant effect on stock returns. These results indicate that earnings per share are the fundamental indicator most considered by investors in making investment decisions regarding LQ45 companies.
