Practice-oriented study of artistic maturity in tattoo art
Authors/Creators
Description
This article presents a practice-oriented study of artistic maturity in contemporary tattoo art, examining how professional experience, technical mastery, and conceptual thinking shape the development of an individual artistic language. The research is based on the author’s long-term practical work in tattooing and visual arts, combined with analytical observation of creative processes, compositional strategies, and interaction between the artist and the human body as a living medium. Artistic maturity is defined not only as technical proficiency, but also as the ability to construct meaningful visual narratives, maintain stylistic coherence, and integrate anatomical, temporal, and psychological factors into the tattoo process. The study demonstrates that mature tattoo practice requires a holistic approach that unites craftsmanship, aesthetic responsibility, and ethical awareness. The findings contribute to the academic understanding of tattoo art as a legitimate field of contemporary visual culture and practice-based artistic research.
