Description

Human forebrain organoid activities were recorded via the Neuroplatform, an open-access cloud-based research infrastructure provided by FinalSpark. Individual organoids were placed on 8-channel planar MEA chips (30 μm electrode diameter, 200 μm center-to-center spacing, 2×4 grid configuration). Signals were sampled at 10 kHz with 300–3000 Hz bandpass filtering. Spontaneous extracellular activity was recorded at 37°C in a humidified incubator with 5% CO₂ without any external stimulation. Spikes were detected using a threshold of 6× the root-mean-square noise level with subsequent manual verification. Recording duration was 600 seconds per organoid, with recordings extended to 1800 seconds for 58% of organoids. Organoid age at recording ranged from 75–367 days (median: 136 days; mean ± SD: 161.9 ± 75.0 days).
