This is an agent-based agricultural land expansion simulation model for analyzing the impact of irrigation efficiency improvements on agricultural water use and land expansion.

File Description

  • Agent.py: Core model file containing:

    • Farmer class: Defines farmer agent behavior (irrigation decisions, land expansion decisions, etc.)
    • Crop parameter reading functions
    • Land expansion simulation functions
    • Parameter calibration functions
    • Simulation initialization functions
  • SimAgent.py: Main simulation script containing:

    • run_simulation(): Main function for running multiple random simulations
    • main(): Main program entry point, configurable simulation parameters
