Sample Type Classification

Presentation of the goals of the RDA Sample Type Classification Working Group to the members of DAPHNE4NFDI Task Area 1. An introduction to the subject of high-level sample classification and why it is needed, setting up a discussion session. References a poster presented at the same meeting.

The main presentation is preceded by a flash talk on another poster from the meeting, which gives an overview of SEPIA, the sample database under development at HZB. SEPIA demonstrates a use case for the sample classification that is discussed in the main presentation.
