Image dataset for AI-based detection of electronic connectors

The dataset enables the training of a neural network to recognise electronic connectors / plugs in electronic devices for automated disassembly. It also contains images with cable ties; however, these are significantly underrepresented compared to connectors. It was developed as part of the Desire4Electronics (https://www.ipa.fraunhofer.de/de/referenzprojekte/Desire4Electronics.html) project and is used to recognise plugs, so that they can be automatically detached by an industrial robot.

The dataset comprises 263 images with labelled electronic connectors. The labels are in YOLO format and contain bounding boxes.
