Fictional Media Hypothesis: An Explanation of the Outcomes Paradox and Victor Tausk's Influencing Machine via Predictive Processing
Authors/Creators
Description
One would expect outcomes to improve with access to biomedical treatment, however this is not the case with psychosis and outcomes are much better in developing nations. By using empirical evidence from neurodevelopmental studies about technology and psychosis outcomes, Victor Tausks observation that most patients experience a "delusion" that they are being effected by an outside force, as well as anthropological evidence from literature, I hypothesize an explanation that tie these all together.
