Description
The datasets contain a catalogue of the 100 flood events with highest impact potential for the Panaro River case study in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The selected events are identified using ensemble simulations from the European Flood Awareness System ensemble seasonal reforecast version 5 (EFAS5) and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) SEASonal forecasts version 5 (SEAS5). The events represents a set of unprecedented ("UNSEEN") floods that are physically plausible in the current climate. The catalogue can be used to analyze the physical drivers of high impact floods, assess the suitability of existing local flood defense measured, and promote proactive adaptation and risk awareness. More information on the datasets can be found in the README.txt file.
