Description

A spectral-action–derived Higgs portal predicts a heavy scalar with fixed portal strength and a
distinctive collider signature. The portal coupling

λρH = α1κspec / 16π2 Λref

emerges from the heat-kernel expansion of the spectral action, with α1 ≃ 4.3 × 10−2 numerically
dominated by the top sector. Unlike generic singlet extensions, the portal strength is not a free
parameter but is determined by spectral coefficients and matching corrections. Combining Higgs
precision constraints (|∆κ| < 2%) with spectral consistency yields a narrow and predictive mass
window, mρ ∈ [2.0, 3.5]TeV. The resulting scalar exhibits vector-boson-fusion–dominated produc
tion, RVBF/ggF ∼ 20–30, inverting the hierarchy characteristic of generic singlet models. We predict
σ ×BR(ρ → WW) ≃ 1.0–1.5fb at the HL-LHC, testable with 3ab−1. Non-observation of such a
VBF-dominated diboson resonance in this mass range would exclude the minimal spectral-action
realization at 95% CL.
