Multisensor Dataset of Canopy Spectral Reflectance, Soil Water Content, and Agrometeorological Conditions in Winter Wheat
Authors/Creators
Description
This repository contains multisensor datasets collected during the 2022/2023 growing season on winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) at two contrasting pedoclimatic sites in continental Croatia. The data support the analysis of crop water status during the reproductive development of winter wheat using integrated soil–plant–atmosphere observations.
The dataset includes canopy-level hyperspectral reflectance measurements acquired during three reproductive-stage measurement terms (T1–T3; BBCH 61–83), in situ soil water content (SWC) measurements at multiple depths, and agrometeorological data including air temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, and reference evapotranspiration (ET₀).
Hyperspectral canopy reflectance was measured across the 350–2500 nm range and subsequently processed to improve data quality. Prior to analysis, wavelength intervals 350–400 nm, 1800–1950 nm, and wavelengths above 2400 nm were excluded due to low signal-to-noise ratio and strong atmospheric water vapor absorption. Spectral data were smoothed using a Savitzky–Golay filter (window size = 11, polynomial order = 2) and are provided as wavelength-by-sample tables for each measurement term.
All datasets contained in this repository were used in a scientific manuscript that is currently under peer review.
