Description

The Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi (CVMA) is a scientific research project dedicated to the systematic cataloguing and study of medieval stained glass. Within the context of the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), it is an interesting use case for cross-disciplinary collaboration between consortia from humanities (NFDI4Culture, NFDI4Objects), material science and engineering (NFDI-MatWerk, NFDI4ING), physics (DAPHNE), and mathematics (MaRDI). In the last two years, several meetings on this topic have already taken place, each with a different group of participants looking at different aspects of this cross-disciplinary cooperation. NFDI4Objects, NFDI4ING, and MaRDI organized a further online meeting bringing together participants from all involved consortia, which took place on December 2nd 2025. The following report by the organizers provides a brief summary of previous developments and summarizes the contents of the short presentations and the subsequent discussions.

Funding: This work is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) under the National Research Data Infrastructure. DFG project numbers: MaRDI (460135501), NFDI4Objects (501836407) and NFDI4ING (442146713).
