DATATHON: Data analysis with biodiversity data from MINKA citizen science observatory

Description
This workshop was held on November 6, 2023, in Barcelona, Spain, as part of the European Citizen Science project. The participants were technicians and policymakers working in the fields of environment and land management at various levels. These included technicians from the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, natural park management, municipal information management officers, and a technician from the Government of Catalonia linked to the Biodiversity Observatory. The workshop guided using the MECODA package within the Orange Data Mining visual programming platform to create reproducible workflows created with biodiversity data from different municipalities collected in MINKA. The objective was to demonstrate the potential of these tools for generating information from Citizen Science data.
