This paper presents a comparative study of creation narratives in ancient Egypt, focusing on the Heliopolitan model, and Abrahamic texts from the Torah, Bible, and Quran. It analyzes narrative structure, symbolic functions, and linguistic meanings, highlighting how a single original memory of creation was transformed into a highly symbolic and polytheistic system in Egypt, while the Abrahamic texts restored ethical and monotheistic unity.
Alternative explanatory models, including cultural diffusion, collective unconscious, structuralism, and the Laurasian model, are critically assessed, revealing their limitations in explaining structural similarities alongside divergent meanings.
The study demonstrates that Abrahamic texts were not derived from the Egyptian model, but instead served to correct the trajectory of memory that had reached its symbolic peak in Egypt. This correction restores humanity to its rightful position, reinstates ethical significance, removes divinity from symbols, and unifies the narrative.
