Authors/Creators

Description

StandICT.eu 2029 continues the European Union’s long-term effort to strengthen its influence in international ICT standardisation. By supporting European experts who contribute to Standards Development Organisations, StandICT.eu helps ensure that European priorities, like security, interoperability, trust, sustainability, and fundamental rights, are reflected in the technical rules shaping the digital economy. To make this happen in a transparent and accessible way, StandICT.eu 2029 launches 6 Open Calls, each open for 60 days, providing funding and support to standardisation specialists and newcomers ready to engage in technical committees, working groups, and key standardisation communities. Open Call 1 is open from 17 November 2025 and closes on 16 January 2026. Applications are expected to align with the Rolling Plan for ICT Standardisation of the European Commission’s Multi-Stakeholder Platform. This online info session is designed to provide further guidance to prospective applicants who are preparing a proposal for StandICT.eu 2029 Open Call 1, and complement the Guidelines which are available on the Open Call 1 Website Page. As the session aims to provide both newcomers and experienced fellows with valuable information, participants will leave the session with a clear understanding of what StandICT.eu 2029 funds and what makes a proposal eligible, and of timeline, process and evaluation approach. Practical tips to avoid common pitfalls will also be shared.
