Description
The data contained in this repository are associated with the manuscript “Unveiling oceanic biogenic metal stoichiometry using in-situ data”, currently submitted to Nature.
The Excel file 'Dataset_pigments' contains all phytoplankton pigment concentration data measured during each cruise included in the study. Concentrations are reported in µg L⁻¹, except for cruises GA10, GN02, and GP16, for which pigment concentrations are expressed in ng L⁻¹.
The file 'Tm estimation from Phytoclass' documents the methodology used to determine phytoplankton community composition using the Phytoclass package in R. This file includes details on the associated Fm matrix (provided in the Excel file 'Fm_Ar). It also describes the procedure used to compute estimates of biogenic trace metal concentrations from phytoplankton community composition. This procedure requires the additional Excel files 'Classification_SST' and 'Classification_Nitrate'.
The Excel file 'Dataset_pTM' contains all particulate elemental concentration data measured for each cruise included in this study. Concentrations are reported in nmol L⁻¹ for each element.
The excel file 'Cruise details' summarizes all the informations about the different cruises, and who is in charge of the different parameters.
