Assessment of the Quality of Immunization Healthcare Communication between Expectant Mothers and Caregivers during Antenatal Visits in Ozuoba Health Center

Effective healthcare communication is crucial during antenatal visits, particularly regarding immunization. This study was conducted to assess and improve the quality of immunization healthcare communication at Ozuoba Health Center. The study had the following objectives which were to determine the extent to which caregivers listen to expectant mothers in Ozuoba health center during antenatal interactions, determine the extent to which healthcare givers respond to expectant mothers in Ozuoba health center during antenatal interactions, and to determine the extent to which caregivers convey information clearly to expectant mothers during antenatal interactions in Ozuoba health center, A questionnaire-based survey was administered to 100 mothers that have at one point being in the Ozuoba health care center for antenatal visits, SPSS version 21.0 was used analyze the data. Findings revealed a good communication and relationship between the expectant mothers and the healthcare givers in this health center. The study highlighted the quality of immunization health care communication which helped improve the level of immunization both in mothers and children, it has also helped in the increase of knowledge and brought about awareness in not just the expectant mothers but also the society. It was also discovered that the quality of immunization health care communication in Ozuoba health centre is good because the healthcare givers are doing their job well even though there is need for improvements in some areas.
