Dimension W and the Unified Consciousness Substrate Theory A Constraint-First Ontology of Geometry, Energy, Information, and Consciousness
Description
Contemporary physics and cognitive science increasingly encounter explanatory limits when treating spacetime, particles, and forces as ontological primitives. Parallel difficulties arise in theories of consciousness that attempt to reduce meaning, perception, or awareness to emergent byproducts of neural activity alone. This paper presents a unified framework synthesizing Dimension W—a constraint-first ontological field—with the Unified Consciousness Substrate Theory (UCST). Dimension W is proposed as a universal constraint field governing which relational geometries and informational differences are permitted to persist across scales. Geometry, rather than force, is identified as the primary interface between this constraint field and spacetime. Energy is reframed as tension within constrained geometry, information as preservable relational difference, and consciousness as stabilized recursive integration of information across temporal and representational scales. This synthesis resolves longstanding paradoxes across physics, biology, and cognition while remaining compatible with existing empirical frameworks. Testable implications and falsifiability criteria are outlined.

Abstract
Human perception, cognition, and emotional regulation are profoundly shaped by geometric structure, yet the mechanisms by which raw geometry gives rise to higher-order meaning remain poorly formalized. This paper synthesizes insights from the Unified Consciousness Substrate Theory (UCST), predictive processing, and constraint-based ontology to propose that meaning emerges not from symbols or semantic instruction, but from the preservation of relational invariants across spatial and temporal transformations. We identify a small set of core geometric invariants that reliably bias internal state regulation and propose a minimal invariant alphabet capable of encoding state transitions without causal force or semantic manipulation. Applications to ritual, architecture, and therapeutic environments are explored, alongside ethical constraints and testable predictions. The framework emphasizes consent, reversibility, and autonomy, positioning geometry as a non-invasive medium for guided regulation rather than control.
