Qadianism (Ahmadiyya) in South Asia

This book presents a comprehensive historical, doctrinal, and pedagogical analysis of the Qadiani (Ahmadiyya) movement in South Asia, with particular emphasis on its emergence in colonial India and its continued presence in post-colonial and Western contexts. By situating the movement within the political collapse of Muslim authority and the consolidation of British imperial rule, the study demonstrates how colonial conditions reshaped religious authority and facilitated the rise of alternative theological narratives.

Using classical Islamic sources alongside modern academic methodologies, the book argues that Qadianism constitutes not merely a sectarian divergence but a fundamental doctrinal rupture concerning the finality of prophethood (khatm al-nubuwwa). The work further proposes scholarly and pedagogical approaches for addressing doctrinal confusion in pluralistic societies without recourse to coercion or violence.
