Pāṇinīya Śikṣā as a Cognition-First Transmission Architecture (Version 1.0)

This work presents a cognition-first architectural reconstruction of the Pāṇinīya Śikṣā, interpreting it as a normative transmission system designed to preserve epistemic integrity under oral conditions. Rather than treating Śikṣā as phonetics or descriptive sound analysis, the study reconstructs its internal logic in terms of transmission risks and regulatory mechanisms, mapped systematically across the text.

The manual articulates Śikṣā as a governed epistemic action in which intention (vivakṣā), ordered transmission (anupūrvyā), bodily execution, temporal regulation, and classification function together to prevent semantic drift, mechanical recitation, and cognitive illusion. A layered schematic establishes the causal ordering of these constraints, followed by detailed verse-by-verse analysis.

Version 1.0 establishes the core architectural framework and analytical method. Subsequent versions may incorporate refinements, clarifications, and pedagogical extensions. This work is intended for advanced students and scholars of Indian Knowledge Systems, Vedāṅgas, and śāstra-based epistemology.
