Dirophanes invisor (Thunberg, 1824)
Notes
Well studied parasitoid of the green oak-leaf roller moth Tortrix viridana. Morley (1903) already thought females hibernated. Cole (Cole 1959, Cole 1967) and Bogenschütz (1965) demonstrated how females indeed hibernate, using phenology and lab conditions. Cole (1967) projected that the females survive in litter below oaks. This has been confirmed now by both Lungu-Constantineanu and Constantineanu (2014) and Diller and Shaw (2014).
