Theoretical Model Presentation A Model of Cognitive Load, Digital Fatigue, and Recovery

Description

This presentation develops a transdisciplinary conceptual model of digital fatigue by integrating cognitive load theory, affective neuroscience, and occupational health psychology. Digital fatigue is reconceptualised as a dynamic imbalance between attentional demand, environmental stimulation, and recovery efficiency. The model formalises mental energy as a time dependent state variable, offering a systems level framework for understanding cognitive depletion in digital learning and work environments.
