METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO TEACHING GRAMMAR
Description
This article provides an analytical overview of key methodological approaches used in teaching grammar in foreign language classrooms. It examines deductive and inductive instruction, the communicative approach, task-based learning, contextualized grammar teaching, and blended learning from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Rather than promoting a single dominant method, the paper argues for an integrative and flexible use of methodologies based on learners’ proficiency levels, learning goals, and classroom conditions. The discussion demonstrates that grammar instruction is most effective when accuracy-oriented and communication-oriented practices are systematically combined.
